This data represents the most current data which we recently submitted to the NTIA and includes fixed broadband services and excludes mobile wireless and satellite.
Data Dictionary:
BLK_ID = The Census Block Identification Number. NTIA specified that, in lieu of reporting address-specific data, provider data should reflect the list of all census blocks of no greater than two square miles in area in which broadband service is available to end users. Census blocks over two square miles require address-specific data or a list of all street segments with address ranges in those census blocks.
PROVIDER = Name of facilities-based provider of broadband service in that census block
PRVDER_DBA = Provider "doing business as" name
FCC_FRN = Federal Communications Commission Federal Registration Number for that provider
TECH = Technology of transmission category available for the provision of the broadband service
MAX_DWN = Maximum Advertised Download speeds
MAX_UP = Maximum Advertised Upload speeds
END_UC = End-Users Category. The “end user” of broadband service is a residential or business party, institution or state or local government entity that may use broadband service for its own purposes and that does not resell such service to other entities or incorporate such service into retail Internet-access services. Represented as Residential or Business (non-residential).
